Eddie is a fifth-generation farmer, and he and his wife, Sherri, own and operate North Point Dairy, managing four dairy operations across New Mexico and Texas. Together with their four children, the family milks more than 17,000 cows and farms approximately 16,000 acres. Each farm has its own heifer program and farming operations and is managed independently by one of their children and a son-in-law. Eddie and Sherri began their first dairy in Hobbs, N.M., in 1985 and later expanded with additional dairies in Hobbs and Clovis, N.M. After selling their Hobbs operations, they continued to grow their footprint in Clovis and Hereford, Texas, including the purchase of two dairies and a beef cattle feedyard. Eddie currently serves on the boards for Dairy Management Inc., Dairy MAX, and the United Dairy Industry Association, and he previously served on the National Dairy Board from 2013–2019.
