Charles and his son, Andrew, operate Krause Holsteins, a 350-cow herd on their fifth-generation farm in central Minnesota. He serves as the chair of the Midwest Dairy Corporate Board and as the first vice chair of the United Dairy Industry Association Board, which partners with Dairy Management Inc., on national checkoff efforts. He is one of five U.S. dairy farmers who serve as ambassadors for the Global Dairy Platform, advocating for dairy on an international level. In central Minnesota, he serves as the chair of the Centra Sota Cooperative Board. His family enjoys sharing dairy’s positive message by hosting multiple farm tours throughout the year.
