David Crowl

Northeast Area, Md.

As the fifth and sixth generations of Crowls to farm in Maryland, David and his sons milk 220 cows and operate a custom forage-harvesting business. The Crowl family has been a part of DFA and its predecessor cooperatives since 1925. David has served on the Northeast Area Council for more than 12 years and is currently beginning his 10th year on the Board. He represents DFA on Dairy One’s board of directors. He has completed two terms as a director on the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board and is currently a director of the Deer Creek Scenic River Advisory Board. In addition, David is a member of Holstein Association USA, the Deer Creek Watershed Association and the Maryland Farm Bureau. David has also served as an elder and trustee at his church.
