Each year, one member farm from each of DFA’s seven regional Areas is honored during the Annual Banquet at DFA’s Annual Meeting. The 2018 Members of Distinction are:

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) recognizes the importance of developing future leaders in the dairy industry and is committed to investing in their education. Since its inception 11 years ago, the DFA Cares Foundation Scholarship
has grown to honor an increasing number of outstanding students who are pursuing careers in the dairy industry.

DFA and Sprint announce ag tech and dairy food product startups selected for 2018 Accelerator program

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national cooperative owned by family farmers, and Sprint (NYSE: S) today announced the companies selected for the 2018 Accelerator program, which includes startups focused on ag tech and dairy food products. For the 2018 program, DFA also will be joined by CoBank, a cooperative bank serving vital industries across rural America, as a supporting partner.

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national cooperative owned by family farmers, is proud to recognize one of its member farms, Schrack Farms Resources in Loganton, Pa., for receiving the 2018 Innovative Dairy Farmer Award from the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) and Dairy Herd Management magazine.

DFA honored as Dairy Processor of the Year at 2018 Dairy Forum

Farmer-owned cooperative recognized for making processing investments and focusing on strategic partnerships

Today, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national cooperative owned by family farmers, was awarded Dairy Foods magazine's 2017 Processor of the Year Award.

DFA was recognized for its investments in the dairy processing industry, strategic partnerships, product innovation and commitment to sustainability. Dairy Foods magazine presented the award to executives from DFA at an awards luncheon at the International Dairy Foods Association Dairy Forum on January 23, 2018 in Palm Desert, Calif.

DFA applauds Governor Greitens' support of dairy

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national cooperative owned by family farmers, applauds Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens' support of the state's dairy industry.

Earlier this year, Greitens approved $660,000 in the state's budget to fund the Missouri Dairy Revitalization Act (MDRA), which provides cost-share assistance to producers who proactively manage their farm's risk by purchasing margin insurance through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Margin Protection Program for Dairy producers.

DFA's DFA Cares Foundation donates milk to those in need

More than 4,300 gallons of milk from Dairy Maid Dairy plant in Frederick, Md., provided to Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, D.C.

Through its DFA Cares Foundation, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national dairy cooperative owned by family farmers, is making good use of Northeast Area milk by donating one truckload, or the equivalent of approximately 4,300 gallons of milk, to the Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, D.C., which is part of the national Feeding America network.

Guida's Dairy celebrates ongoing commitment to providing consumers with fresh, local milk

Farmer-owned milk processor working with Walmart's investing in American jobs initiative

Today, Guida's Dairy, a farmer-owned, Connecticut-based milk processor joined state and local officials as well as representatives from Walmart to celebrate its farmer ownership and continued commitment to providing fresh, local milk from farm to table. Guida's Dairy currently has 225 local employees, processes milk from New England dairy farmers and supports Walmart's 10-year commitment to buy an additional $250 billion in products to support American jobs.

DFA Cares Foundation donates milk for those in need this holiday season

Two truckloads of Northeast Area milk will supply more than 10,000 pounds of cheese for the central Pennsylvania food bank

Through its DFA Cares Foundation, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national dairy cooperative owned by family farmers, is making good use of Northeast Area milk by providing two truckloads of milk, which will be processed into 10,000 pounds of cheese, for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank in Harrisburg, Pa. The food bank is part of the national Feeding America network and a member of Feeding Pennsylvania, a statewide association that promotes charitable food distribution, including dairy products.
