Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national cooperative owned by family farmers, broke ground for the construction of a new retail store, The Creamery, in Beaver, Utah, which will replace the existing cheese store currently on the site of DFA’s Beaver City processing plant.

DFA Annual Meeting celebrates 20 years with focus on Real People, Real Dairy

More than 20 years ago, farmers from four U.S. dairy cooperatives came together to form Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), with a strategic vision to establish the first national dairy cooperative with investments across the U.S. dairy supply chain.

Today, as more than 1,600 people gather in Kansas City for the Cooperative’s Annual Meeting, DFA is not only a leading Cooperative owned by family-farmers from across the U.S., but also the largest supplier of milk in the world and the fourth-largest global dairy foods company.

DFA reports 2017 financial results

At the Cooperative’s Annual Meeting today, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), officials reported net income of $127.4 million for 2017. DFA’s net sales totaled $14.7 billion for 2017, compared to $13.5 billion in 2016. This increase is due to unit sales growth as well as higher milk prices, which averaged $17.63 per hundredweight in 2017 compared with $16.30 in 2016.

DFA and Sprint announce ag tech and dairy food product startups selected for 2018 Accelerator program

Today, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national cooperative owned by family farmers, was awarded Dairy Foods magazine's 2017 Processor of the Year Award.

DFA was recognized for its investments in the dairy processing industry, strategic partnerships, product innovation and commitment to sustainability. Dairy Foods magazine presented the award to executives from DFA at an awards luncheon at the International Dairy Foods Association Dairy Forum on January 23, 2018 in Palm Desert, Calif.

DFA applauds Governor Greitens' support of dairy

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a national cooperative owned by family farmers, applauds Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens' support of the state's dairy industry.

Earlier this year, Greitens approved $660,000 in the state's budget to fund the Missouri Dairy Revitalization Act (MDRA), which provides cost-share assistance to producers who proactively manage their farm's risk by purchasing margin insurance through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Margin Protection Program for Dairy producers.
