Revitalization Conference Focuses on Southeast Dairy Industry

The Southeast Dairy Revitalization Conference, hosted by Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. (DFA), will explore changes in the region’s dairy industry and how producers can seize opportunities to grow, partner and prosper. Approximately 200 producers and agribusiness professionals are expected at the two-day event in Charlotte, N.C.

Guest speakers will include:
• Rick Smith, president and chief executive officer of DFA, providing an industry update
• Dr. Ron Hanson from the University of Nebraska discussing multigenerational change and challenges
• Dr. Greg Bethard of North Carolina State University addressing dairy management and milk quality
• Bank lenders providing insight on capital challenges
• Multiple producer panels focusing on opportunities for collaboration and growth, dairy management success stories, farm viability and quality milk production
