Start Of Expansion With Beam-Signing Ceremony

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. (DFA) executives and local management will officially mark the launch of a $39.4 million expansion project at the DFA plant in Schulenburg, Texas, with a beam-signing ceremony. During the event, DFA officials will provide details of the 110,000-square-foot expansion, which will nearly double the plant’s operating capacity. The Schulenburg plant is a leading manufacturer for shelf-stable cheese dips and salsa. |

- Mike Zapalac, DFA member and Southwest Area Council director

“Product demand has steadily grown at the Schulenburg plant, which is a leader in producing shelf-stable dips and salsas,” said Edwin Orsak, DFA plant manager. “With the expanded capacity this expansion allows, we will also be adding jobs, and it is only fitting that we share the excitement with the community. The City of Schulenburg, in particular, has been a strong advocate for this project, and we are proud to commemorate this occasion with City leaders.” |
