Tennessee Dairy Grazing Conference

November 9, 2010

Learn how taking advantage of our region’s landscape and climate can cut your input costs at the Tennessee Dairy Grazing Conference, hosted by Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. (DFA) and Tennessee Farmers Cooperative. The conference features cooperative and university experts in pasture-based dairying, as well as producers who are successfully using this model of dairy farming.

Topics include creating a profitable dairy grazing system, picking the right grass species, feeding grazing cows correctly, using a grazing wedge and ration balancing. A trade show also runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with vendors specializing in products for pasture-based dairies.

There is no charge to attend, and lunch is complimentary.

To register, contact Tom Bible, TFC agronomist, at (423) 278-6113 or Tina Smith of DFA at 1-800-735-6455, extension 8622.
