First and foremost, DFA is a cooperative that serves the milk marketing needs of our owners. The co-op also provides the kind of services that an organization of DFA’s size can deliver without diluting its primary mission.

Agri-Services—a DFA program—offers exclusive and affordable medical programs, dental/vision plans, plus coverage for life. All services are available to DFA members via a milk check deduction.

More and more DFA members are choosing DFA’s Direct Deposit Option over traditional mail delivery. Members using this service can be confident their pay checks will be in their accounts within 24 hours of the pay date thus saving time and eliminating problems.

Another popular service is the DFA Forward Contracting—just one of many Marketing Services offered by DFA. Forward Contracting is a program that allows members to hedge against price volatility risk. Members can lock in the future price of their milk several months before it is produced, taking some of the uncertainty out of a sometimes very uncertain market.

Agri-Max Financial Services is a joint venture affiliate owned by DFA, and Dairylea. Agri-Max offers complete dairy loan packages for cattle, equipment and operating expenses to members.

Each DFA member dairy farm is assigned its own field representative through DFA’s On-Farm Field Service. These representatives are specially trained to help producers maximize their returns.

Any young DFA dairy farmer between the ages of 18 and 40 can take advantage of DFA’s Young Cooperator (YC) Program. The goals of the YC Program are focused on continuing education on cooperatives, developing personal and leadership skills, and providing opportunities for future leaders.
