The Search for That Special Elsie Spirit

The call to find a cow with the spirit of Elsie echoed throughout America.

Photos and essays from coast to coast poured into Cowtest Headquarters last fall.

Judging the entries from DFA families who believed that their special cow could match the endearing qualities of Elsie proved a tough job. The panel of judges said they worked hard to choose the winners.

The judges’ efforts would have pleased Elsie, the dedicated cow that she is. The judges were able to narrow the stack of 137 entries down to 12 finalists and then pick the top three winners. Find out who won
